01 / SERVICE

What we offer you.

01

Lambda OFF suited to the vehicle

Oxygen sensors monitor the air-fuel mixture and catalyst efficiency. On supported control units, the relevant monitoring can be adjusted for the vehicle. It is essential to identify whether the upstream or downstream sensor, bank 1 or bank 2, is affected.

02

Send the complete fault code

A code such as P0130 or P0141 describes the circuit, signal or heater of a specific sensor position. Send the wording and all accompanying faults along with the code so we can identify the correct sensor and software function.

03

Check the software version before confirming

Manufacturers use additional subcodes and their own diagnostic logic. We confirm feasibility, procedure and price only after checking the vehicle, ECU and software version.

FAULT CODES · DTC · OBD

Common fault codes and their meanings.

These codes are frequently read during inquiries about this system. A DTC identifies the detected deviation – the actual cause emerges only from the vehicle, software version, fault status and measured values.

Bank 1 – control and diagnostic sensors

P0130
Oxygen sensor, bank 1 sensor 1: circuit fault
P0131
Bank 1 sensor 1: signal voltage low
P0132
Bank 1 sensor 1: signal voltage high
P0133
Bank 1 sensor 1: slow response
P0134
Bank 1 sensor 1: no activity
P0135
Bank 1 sensor 1: heater circuit fault
P0136
Bank 1 sensor 2: circuit fault
P0137
Bank 1 sensor 2: signal voltage low
P0138
Bank 1 sensor 2: signal voltage high
P0139
Bank 1 sensor 2: slow response
P0140
Bank 1 sensor 2: no activity
P0141
Bank 1 sensor 2: heater circuit fault

Bank 2, mixture signal and other O2 codes

P0150
Oxygen sensor, bank 2 sensor 1: circuit fault
P0151
Bank 2 sensor 1: signal voltage low
P0152
Bank 2 sensor 1: signal voltage high
P0153
Bank 2 sensor 1: slow response
P0154
Bank 2 sensor 1: no activity
P0155
Bank 2 sensor 1: heater circuit fault
P0156
Bank 2 sensor 2: circuit fault
P0161
Bank 2 sensor 2: heater circuit fault
P2195 / P2197
O2 signal, bank 1 / bank 2 sensor 1: stuck lean
P2196 / P2198
O2 signal, bank 1 / bank 2 sensor 1: stuck rich
P2270 / P2272
Downstream sensor, bank 1 / bank 2: stuck lean
P2271 / P2273
Downstream sensor, bank 1 / bank 2: stuck rich
P2A00 / P2A03
O2 sensor, bank 1 / bank 2 sensor 1: range/performance

Sensor 1, sensor 2 and sensor 3 refer to the position in the exhaust system. On V engines, bank 1 or bank 2 must also be clearly identified.

02 / PROCESS

Booking your service is this easy.

  1. Send details

Tell us the vehicle, ECU designation and software version. A photo of the control unit label helps with identification.

  2. Clarify the procedure

We agree on feasibility, costs and procedure before you place the order.

  3. Arrange the work

An on-site appointment or shipping is organized to suit the control unit.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Well informed in advance.

Which oxygen sensor is affected?

The complete DTC specifies the bank and sensor position. Sensor 1 is usually upstream of the catalyst, sensor 2 downstream; vehicle-specific differences are possible.

Does P0420 automatically mean an oxygen sensor fault?

No. P0420 assesses catalyst efficiency. Oxygen sensors, exhaust leaks, mixture problems or the catalyst itself may be involved.

What should I consider for a road vehicle?

The legality of the specific modification and any necessary inspections must be clarified before implementation. Changes may affect the vehicle's operating permit, warranty and insurance terms.
