Jaguar and Land Rover 2.0 MHEV diesel: new ECU unlock
Bosch MD1CP017 in D165 and D200 MHEV models from 2021 can be fully read and written in Bench mode after a Boot unlock with KESS3.
New support covers protected Bosch MD1CP017 units in Jaguar and Land Rover models from 2021 with 2.0 D165 MHEV and 2.0 D200 MHEV. Listed models are Jaguar E-Pace, F-Pace, XE and XF, plus Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Velar.
The first operation requires opening and unlocking the ECU in Boot mode with the additional KESS3 Unlock Module. Full reading and writing through the ECU connector in Bench are then possible. Further Bench work does not require reopening the ECU.
The manufacturer describes a procedure that can be carried out directly in the workshop. OBD access is not specified in this release.
